So what does this mean…and what is the danger in our churches when we don’t fully understand this text?
14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.
In the Church, which is the body of Christ, there will be people present in the gathering that have not the spirit of God. Not in all cases, but I would say most. So the preaching of God’s word can’t be fully understood. Why do I say that? I didn’t, the bible did.
The danger is, we detour from exegetical teaching of his Word, incorporate things that the “natural” man or “lost” man can relate too. The man leaves that day, and says that was a good service.
So how do we remedy this issue of the “lost” man intermingled into the body? The answer is the Gospel.
When the Gospel is proclaimed, the whole Gospel, light is shed into the dark hearts of men. Only then, can this person be birthed by the spirit of God by Faith.
When this happens, the things of God begin to start falling into place.
If we deviate from this, and start trying to attract by anything other than Gods word, well who knows what will happen. One thing for sure is the hunger for worldly things will increase.
This is one of many of satan’s strategies to try to infiltrate the body of Christ with unregenerate people who will lead sheep astray.

The Word is Foolishness…
